Any Ideas???

So it seems that the tattle-tail fairy has landed at our house and cast her magic spell on my oldest, also know as Lima. We are at a loss as how to make the fairy disappear. We have tried magic mind your own business dust, the fairies only worry about fairies spells, and much more magic tricks that come with the wand. But now it is out of idea dust. SO.... if anyone has any, and I mean any (we are now reaching desperation), ideas on how to curb this problem, I am up for the input. I love my four year old, but I want the sweet side of egocentrism back!!!

A Fun Family Weekend...

We had a lot of fun with our friends this weekend. We were able to cool off a bit, from this hot summer weather swimming, and then we had a great BBQ. it only took a few times of cooking the burgers for them to actually cook through, but hey, they got their eventually. After dinner we all headed out to one of the most interstingly odd (yeah those two words are going together parade we have ever been to. My words to Saratoga Springs... I hope whoever is on you plaaning commitee plans a parade next year. The best part was the Ryan Shupe and The Rubberband concert. We have never attended one of their shows, but is was very entertaining. The girls were dancing around almost the entire time. After the show there was a nice display of fireworks (thought sorry, but nothing will beat out Sandy City, or Midvale's fireworks.) I think that we ran the girls to death. We had to get them out of bed for church on Sunday morning, then they both came home and crashed for naps that were over two hours long. You would think they would be way wired, but no, Pinto kept saying she was tired after she woke up. I so look forward to the 4th. Why? well, it is on a Friday night so we can sleep in on Saturday. And we can all take naps, and the girls will still go to bed early. Ahhh the summer time.

What a busy week!! Lima had her first dance recital on Tuesday at Kingsbury Hall. Her dance studio put on Aladdin. It was so fun to see and way cute. During dress rehearsal, Lima was watching the older girls do their ballet and jazz dances and she kept imitating their moves and saying she was going to be "a ballet girl" when she got older. For her dance, they were snake charmers, and they had a giant snake that they danced with. She looks so grown up when her bangs are pulled back. She also loved having mascara on. I am going to try and figure out how to upload video and show the dance on here. If anyone knows how, some pointers would be much appreciated!!

We also went as a family this morning to This is the Place Park, we have a season pass and frequent often. It is an enjoyable place and the girls love it. Lima's favorite part is the animals. We have decided that she is going to be a vet when she gets older. Pinto enjoys running all around. She usually loves to ride the ponies, but today she was being a little cautious. But she wanted to be a big girl and do all the projects by herself. It is nice to just go and have some time as a family. especially when there are no major melt downs and to much girl drama!!! That is the only thing I will miss about living in student housing, being so close.

This is one of the rare moments that we come across in life. One of the workers found a Sego-Lilly and showed it to us. This is the state flower and is something that I have only seen once in my life while on a back-packing trip for girls camp. This is a simple yet beautiful flower that is hard to find.

On Sunday we were eating outside at my dad's house when we got this crazy brain idea to climb the tree. I used to love to climb that tree as a kid. So off we went to climb up it. Though, it was not nearly as high as it seemed as a kid. Lima and Pinto wanted to join the fun so we took a picture of all of us.

We had an enjoyable Father's Day and not to mention MY BIRTHDAY!!! Though having my birthday on Sunday makes it feel like just another day. We had to speak in church and then spent most of the afternoon just sitting around. I finished my book and Beans played pet-shop's with Lima.

Only two weeks from today until we leave apartment live FOREVER!!! Life is crazy and full of cardboard and bubble wrap. Lima has her dance performance tonight at Kingsbury Hall. Thatwill be fun, and she is way excited. I will post video and pic's later.

In real words, Lima was writing about mom and that I am married. And she said mama loves me. Lima also wanted to add a picture of herself so everyone new it was her typing. (she used to call typing totting) What a girl that is so in the now!!

A rainy day that changed a party of 8 wiggly girls to the inside of my large lavish student housing apartment HAHAHA. It was fun but CRAZY!!!



I must say that I am quite impressed with myself. This is the first cake I have ever decorated and made the frosting from scratch. Don't look too close just admire my awesomeness from a distance.

BUSY BUSY BUSY......

Wow the past few weeks have just flown by. Lima had her 4th birthday the first week of June and that was fun!!! She had a little party for her friends and ate lots of ice cream. She is not to much of a cake girl, well except the icing. It is so sad to think of how big she is getting. Everyday, we look at her doing different tasks and she is just so grown up. Over the past year she has turned into quite a little spitfire girl. She still keeps us on our toes... almost more now. So here is to another year of pretend play, dress-up, attitude, and her last year of preschool. If Lima is asked about growing up, she says that she refuses to do it, holds her head down and says she doesn't want to eat, so her body won't grow big. She want's to be small FOREVER. (the word she finishes many sentences with. Atleast she will get the most out of being a crazy kid!!

After all the birthday excitement we have been in a whirlwind trying to find somewhere to move. Bean graduated in May and we have to move out of student housing. We didn't want to commit to buying a house yet, let alone do it in a fast rush. SO....after many hours online, all too much gas and seeing lot's of not so hot apartments, I was inspired to check the newspaper and we found a great house in Sandy, for cheaper then all the apartments we looked at. It has a great yard for the little beans to call their own, and storage so mom and dad feel like we don't live in our own storage unit. We are very excited and move in July 1st. So come on by after we move in!!
