Catching Up and Taking a Breath....

Grab a snack and have a seat. This is catch up on the past few weeks time. I will start with the farthest back.

The first set of pic's is just the girls having fun over the summer. WE LOVE YOU GIRLS!!!
We had some fun camping up at Redman for my family reunion. While there Big Bean and I rode the tram to the top of solitude and rode our bikes down. It was scary exhilaration. We had some family fun and took the girls over guardsman pass to park city and went down the Alpine Slides. We have never done that before. It was ridiculously expensive but the girls loved it!! While we were there we found a nest with eggs. By the time we left, the eggs had hatched. We also had other fun with family while there. We look forward to next year.

We had the great pleasure of being invited by a great friend that I go to school with, to join her family for a week at Bear Lake. WHAT FUN!!! That was our only real vacation this summer. And it was a week of many firsts. It was the first time Pinto had ever swam in a lake. The first time both girls and Big Bean had been tubing and on a water weenie, it was the first time both girls were on a boat. Big Bean was a trooper and tried wake-boarding for the first time (though he ate half the lake on his second try and threw in the towel), no worries beans, there is always next year. I got a nice tan, ahhhhh the first after having kids. It was just joyous. Pinto was ready to come home after a few days(she is my homebody). I could have stayed forever. I mean, how many places can you really go for six days and not put shoes on. It was heavenly bliss.
The girls both loved the water weenie but not the tube so much. They would have stayed on the weenie all day if it would have been warmer. My experience on the tube was a little bit more teeth clenching (literally). So the driver of the boat, who will remain un-named because he is an attorney that made me promise not to sue (hahaha) thought it would be fun to see how bold his daughter and myself were. after flying through the air over a monster wave, we were able to land and keep on going. THen he got the great idea to swing the tube out along side the boat. So we were flying sideways, and that is the last thing I remember next to hitting the water and thinking I was dead, literally. I came up for air and felt this excruciating pain on the side of my head. Yeah, flew though the air and landed on my head. WOOHOO for good times. In the process I almost bit the edge of my tongue off(it still is tingly numb) and chipped my tooth. BUT, nothing stops me, I was back at it a gain the next day (after taking lots of IBuprofen).

There were two girls up there, one the youngest of the family we went with, and the other her friend. They were nicknamed Salt and Pepper. While there they took a liking (crush) to Big Bean. It was so funny. They would follow him around begging him to play, give them piggy backs and draw with them. They even wrote him love letters. Oh to be that young again. Overall, we had a blast and plan to do it again next year. Thanks Shorts!!!!!

The next adventure we embarked was soccer. (No pictures yet) Lima was always so enthralled anytime we went to or past a park that where soccer was being played. She was always wanting to join in. So, we caved and signed her up. Needless to say, the girl would have been better off playing tackle football. She gets bored fighting the other girls for the ball, so she just starts taking them out, literally. The poor other mom's must wonder what on earth is going on. That is my Lima. My tom-boy in pink. Oh well, she goes to bed good at night after her games and practice. I will record a future game and post it for all your viewing pleasures.

The next part comes with a big thanks to several of my friends!!! You all know who you are. For the rest of you, I will fill you in. My wonderful husband new that I still had two semesters of school left (yeah for me), but, I can't claim to be a dumb first year, this is big girl stuff now. He new that I was getting a little stressed out about starting third semester and saying goodbye to summer sooner then I wanted, so he called several of my friends and had them record some words of encouragement. It was such a sweet sentiment, but I was in tears by the time I got to school. Hmm, red eyes first day of school. People look at you weird. Again, thanks to everyone. Your words were great. It always helps to know I have people out there that really care!!! I will keep our friendships dear to my heart. the picture underneath this section was the first day of school. We had to do a blood draw (that part has been the easiest out of all nursing school, saying I have done it FOREVER) and place an IV. The latter I was more nervous about, but I was the most nervous about being someone else's toy pin-cushion. But it was not bad at all, my partner was awesome, and I got the IV with a breeze. Yeah for blood and gory things. Yeah for nursing school, I think. Ssee that beautiful smurf blue in the pic. Yeah, that is our scrub colors. It is terrible.)

Well think this pretty much wraps it up. I will try to stay caught up between studying and life.

So behind...

There is so much that I need to get caught up on. With being out of town and those darn addicting olympics I just haven't had the time. SOO, with school starting on Thursday, I had better get busy....tomorrow. So until then, enjoy this link. It is a flash-back to the past... (Ina, some of these dances remind me you, Debbie, and me in high school.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMH0bHeiRNg

"Girl" Cheese Sandwiches......

So here we are eating a quiet lunch (rare I know) yesterday of grilled cheese sandwiches and grapes. Big Bean was working so it was just me and the girls. Lima said that it daddy were here he would have to have his own sandwich made. I replied of course, he wouldn't eat yours. And her response was "No mommy. Daddy would have to be made a boy cheese sandwich. He can't eat a girl cheese sandwich." TOO FUNNY!!!!
