I Wanna Be Just Like My Sister!

For some odd reason, Pinto has decided that she now wants to wear pull-ups(underwear). It started on Sunday when I was putting away the rest of our laundry from camping(I will cover the fun from the 24th when I get a chance) and she sat down and put on all of Lima's underwear. Well everyday this week she has had to have them on. The funny thing is, she must wear them over her clothes, for the most part. It is too funny. As you can see in the picture, she is quite proud of her pony panties. TOO CUTE!!!! I so love my Pinto, and Lima for her willingness to share her underwear with her sister. WE LOVE THEM!!!!

AAAHHHHHHHHHH........

OH MY GOOD GOO!! Today my life just flashed before my eyes. I was innocently minding my business outside washing off the girls play center and I happened to look down at my feet, when I met my fate. There it was 20 feet long, sharp 5 inch long teeth, and beady red eyes with a look in them that a beat would have before it devoured it's meal. I could tell it was ready to strike at any second as it was licking it's nasty lips. And then......I screamed the loudest most panicked scream I have let out in a long time. I kept screaming and ran for my life trying to fend for myself, as big bean causally wondered from the front yard to see what was going on. My heart was racing so hard I thought I was going to die, I was on the brink of tears, I broke out in a sweat(literally, not kidding), and my whole body was just shuddering. It was one of my biggest fears, as it stared my down ready to devour me.

Know I hope you all feel just so bad for me. This viscous creature that turned out to be a foot and a half to two feet snake. The most nasty creature out there, right along with spiders. YUCK!!!! I hope I screamed so loud that the thing will never want to come near here again(shudder). If I didn't make myself clear, I hate snakes. Despise them, swear them off, and my heart skips a beat just to think about the trauma that I have faced.

I hope that no one ever has to face the frightening moment that I did today. YUCKY, YUCKY, AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

Life's Simple Blessings...

As I sat in church this morning, I started thinking about the simple things in my life that make me most happy. As we sung our nations anthem for the rest hymn tears came to my eyes as I felt this overwhelming spirit that I was truly blessed to live in this country. Even though we have high gas prices and food is getting expensive, i have the choice of where I buy my gas, what food I buy , and several stores to shop and choose from. I am reading a book by Sheri Dew called "God Wants a Powerful People". In the book she mentions a story about Abraham Lincoln just prior the the battle of Gettysburg. he was asked of the country would survive and he replied "I do not doubt that our country will finally come through safe and undivided. But do not misunderstand me. ...I do no rely on... the people... but the God of our fathers... will bring us through safe." I truly had that feeling today. We are doing whatever we can to prepare ourselves spiritually, financially, food storage and whatever we can. I do not fear or worry. I can't. I know that whatever happens we will be brought through safe because of God.

"The other simple blessing that I have are my two blonde babies. Even though today proved to be the roughest in a while with cranky misbehaving kids, when I go in and look at them sleeping peacefully, I know that they truly are the peacemakers of our home. Their laughter, mischievousness, smiles, and unconditional love prove they truly are from above. I am also so glad for the blessing of Big Bean.

I am not usually a mushy person, and this is as far as goes, but I had to write down my heart thoughts today.

Joys

1. I am so glad that I never have to love in student housing again. Goodbye apartment living forever.
2. I love my girls, and that they are getting to the age of being able to do fun girl things. Like paint finger and toe nails. We really enjoy make-up, lipstick, and the little mermaid also around here. We can't forget the big bean in the while mix of girl frill.
3. My last joy I choose to right about it school. Though is is so out of control stressful at times, as soon as we hit the hospital I love it. Helping deliver a new baby, taking care of a 3 yr old with cancer, and helping people after surgery. What is more rewarding and awesome then that. THat is my true joy and love next to my family!!!

Fear

1. My biggest fear is having something terrible happen to my children or hubby. I guess all mom's have that fear.
2. I am so terrified of falling. I hate going on high things b/c I am afraid if falling. Yet, I am a die hard roller coaster junky. Go figure.
3. The unknown sometimes scares me. I am so type A that I have a schedule and a list for everything. Not knowing what is coming next freaks me out sometimes.

Goals

1. Own my own house!!! 'nough said about that.
2. Graduate from nursing school while still having some natural color in my hair other then dye and greyness ( is that even a word, hmm oh well).
3. Travel somewhere really exotic in the next 3 years.

Obsession

1. CLEANING. It drives me crazy. When I clean I get down on the floor and scrub. Forget the easy stuff. Though it seems like my house is always a mess. Hmmm, still need to train the kids hahah.
2. Blogging, this is so terrible. It is 1 am and I am still up.
3. Reading, I love to read, and when I get a good book and have the time, I read read read.

Random Facts

1. I danced on the back-up ballroom team at SUU. Didn't know much about it, but a friend didn't want to go to tryouts alone so I went a well, and well you know the rest.
2. I used to play the flute. I couldn't do it for the life of me now, but hey I can say I used to play a instrument.
3. I taught myself to play the piano. I needed to learn a little to tune my flute but then I kept on going. I am not very good though and have not really played in years. But is is calming to sit down and play a tune to two. Lime said she wants to get a pink piano so she can start playing it. (she means a real piano that is, not a toy pink piano.)
